Some I’ve used before:
-Subbing black beans in recipes, such as brownies like Happy Herbivore’s Black Bean Brownies (so good!)
-Using whole wheat flour for white
-Unsweetened applesauce for butter or oil
-Greek yogurt for sour cream like my topping for my Black Bean Mexican Casserole
Some fun ones I want to try:
-Marshmallow fluff for butter and sugar in frosting (I love marshmallow fluff!)
-Avocado purée for butter
-Sliced tomatoes for tomato sauce on pizza

Almond flour for a grain-based flour! I LOVE baking with almond flour and almost never use regular flour any more! I’ve used it for breading on things like fried green tomatoes and made banana bread with it. So versatile, nutritious and YUM!
